Ati ka bhala na bolna means: too much talking is not good, and too much silence is not good either. Kabir adds that too much rain and too much sun both cause trouble. For children, it is an easy way to notice the middle path in talking, playing, eating, screens and rest.

At dinner Tara tells the story of her school day. Then the story of her friend's school day. Then the story of her friend's cousin's cat.
Her little brother, who has been waiting to share his news, puts his spoon down very quietly.
Tara notices. "Your turn," she says, and pushes the dal towards him.
Keep it light. Let the child answer in their own words, draw it, or hum the line again.
Try this: Draw a see-saw together. Write "too little" at one end and "too much" at the other, and let your child place everyday things on it: sleep, sweets, screen time, talking and quiet.
The doha has four easy pairs, which makes it good for call and response. One group says "ati ka bhala na bolna", the other answers "ati ki bhali na choop", and so on through the rain and the sun.
It means that extremes are rarely good. Too much talking or too much silence, too much rain or too much sun, all cause trouble. Balance is best.
Ati means "too much". The doha repeats it four times to show that even good things, like rain or sunshine, can do harm in excess.
